Did You Know God Rejoices Over You?
Did you know that the Lord loves you so deeply? That He actually rejoices over you?
He says such beautiful things about you in His Word:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
“The Lord your God is among you, a mighty one to save. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will quiet you with His love. He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
His Voice Brings Healing
Do you know that God’s voice brings healing? That the very moment you begin to pay attention to what He says about you, your heart begins to heal?
God is always speaking. Often, the reason we don’t hear Him is because we aren’t paying attention or we don’t realize it’s Him speaking. I believe that when we see Him face-to-face in heaven, we’ll be surprised that His voice is the most familiar. We’ll realize He was with us all along, even in our darkest moments.
How I Began to Hear God’s Voice

I first learned how to hear God through the teaching of Mark Virkler on Communion with God. I highly recommend it to everyone. And when I say “learn,” I mean it literally. Hearing God is a skill that can be nurtured.
I can’t say I’ve perfected it, but I’ve learned to seek His voice, to filter out my emotions, my thoughts, my desires, and even the enemy’s impressions.
God’s Voice Is a Frequency
God’s voice is spirit-to-spirit communication. It comes as a frequency that our spirits can tune into. But to hear it, you have to quiet yourself. You have to reduce the internal noise. Here’s what helps me:
Creating an Atmosphere of Stillness
I often play soft instrumental worship music. It helps quiet my spirit and makes room to receive. With time, this becomes easier. Once you learn how to tune in, it becomes more natural.
Asking and Waiting
I ask God a question, then wait. Sometimes the answer comes as an impression, a Scripture, a song, or a picture in my mind. His voice always brings peace. It feels light and refreshing. You feel full. You feel like you could stay there forever.
His Voice Is Healing and Transforming
He is the best counselor. He knows exactly what to say to bring healing to your heart.
His voice gives direction and purpose. I once asked Him, Who do You say I am? He told me I am His beloved, an influencer for His kingdom, and a healer of people’s hearts. That changed me. I now walk confidently in that identity, fulfilling His purpose in everyday life.
God’s Voice Doesn’t Condemn
One thing that surprised me is how kind His voice is. Even when He corrects me, it’s always covered in love. Recently, He told me, You don’t really trust that I will provide for you. Instead of feeling condemned, I felt seen. I asked Him to help me trust Him more.
“It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.”
Jeremiah 10:23
When I first started out, I didn’t believe He could say good things about me. I thought that humility meant thinking lowly of myself. But I’ve learned that true humility is agreeing with how God sees you. It’s transformative.
A Moment in the Salon
Just a few days ago, I was reading Living Fearless by Jamie Winship while getting my hair done. He guided us in a prayer that went something like this:
“Jesus, please silence my voice, silence the voice of the enemy, and allow me to hear only You. What is the most important thing You want me to know right now?”
After this, God’s voice came so clearly. It felt like He was depositing words straight into my spirit. Jamie’s ministry has touched so many lives. His testimonies are powerful, especially how God has used him to lead many Muslims to Christ simply by helping them hear the voice of Jesus.
Yes, Jesus speaks even to Muslims.
This Journey Is Ongoing
I still struggle to hear clearly. I still doubt. Sometimes I wonder, Is that me? Is it the enemy? But I’ve chosen to make this a lifelong journey—to keep learning, to keep listening.
God’s voice grounds me. It reshapes how I see myself and how I see others. When I am tempted to judge or dislike someone, I ask Jesus, How do You see this person? The answer always surprises me. Many people act out of fear, pain, and insecurity. God wants to heal them too.
Why I Wrote This
My purpose in writing this post is to share how God’s voice has brought healing to my heart, redirected my steps, and given me a new identity and purpose.
I am still growing. But I long for this gift for you too.
If this post has stirred your heart, I invite you to take the bold step. Sit still. Ask Him questions. Wait. Listen. His voice is the best gift you will ever receive.
And it will transform your life.
