The Hidden Cost of Spells: Why Only Jesus Gives True Freedom

Exploring the Hidden Side of Spirituality

I have been going down the rabbit hole of many religious and spiritual practices—from witchcraft, Kabbalah, and Gnosticism. I have watched self-proclaimed witches on TikTok performing all manner of spells: glamour spells, money rituals, love spells, and even hexes.

I have noted that they seem to work. They work—but many of them confess that even when the devil blesses you, it comes with curses. They claim to suffer losses, their hearts are not at peace, and many struggle with anxiety and nightmares.

The Deceptive Exchange

I have also noted that people who use alternative methods apart from Jesus seem to get their prayers answered faster. The only explanation I can give is that the devil is keen to get people bound. With every spell, they seem to get weaved even deeper and deeper, because every spell opens a door to demons and principalities in their lives.

Do you know that doing any form of spell or trying to get a blessing apart from Christ is a form of exchange? The devil has no power and dominion here on earth. For anyone to operate on earth, they need a physical body—this is why even the dead cannot operate here on earth.

So what does he do? He seeks to possess people. He seeks to have his demons and principalities dwell in bodies so that they can influence the world. What does he give in exchange? The lust of the flesh: power, wealth, love, beauty, fame, and fortune.

A demon will cause you to act by influencing your thoughts, actions, and desires. A demon of lust will cause you to lust. A demon of anger will cause you to be angry. I, however, do not think they can perform to their full extent and potential because the Holy Spirit limits their actions.

The Enemy’s Goal

Still, the purpose of the enemy is to kill, steal, and destroy, and to advance his kingdom here on earth.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
John 10:10 (NKJV)

God says in His Word that His blessings are without sorrow, but the enemy’s gifts come with sorrow.

“The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”
Proverbs 10:22 (NKJV)

The more you seek them, the more you are bound. The more you want, the more spells you do. The darker your spells get, the more you lust for more—and this is how you get more and more entangled.

The enemy cannot give you lasting peace. So now you seek spells to make you happy. You seek spells to protect yourself and your energy—but the deeper you dig, the deeper the hole becomes.

The True Source of Freedom

God’s Word says that His burden is easy and His yoke is light.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28–30 (NKJV)

Everything you are seeking for, you will find in Christ. He gives peace, joy, and freedom.

He is not a genie in a bottle that you rub and get your desires immediately—but eventually, you will look back and see why He did not answer the prayer you wanted, because He says His desire for you is good.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)

Even the bad things, He can make them all work out for your good.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28 (NKJV)

Taste and See

All I can ask you to do is to taste and see that the Lord is good.

“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!”
Psalm 34:8 (NKJV)

Even in the midst of your seeking, try Him first. If you think it won’t work, then go back to your spells—but I assure you, you will realize that His burden is easy and you will find true rest for your soul.

He invites you to come to Him, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and He will give you rest. You will be free to live fully, knowing that He’s got you. He says He will provide for your needs—and He will. He will protect you; you do not need protection spells.

He also says that He will beautify you, and even when your body grows old, He gives an inner beauty that everyone can see.

“Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel—rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.”
1 Peter 3:3–4 (NKJV)

Come to the Living Waters

Why buy water that does not satisfy and food that does not satisfy?

“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.”
Isaiah 55:1–2 (NKJV)

Come to Him—the Living Water—and find that you do not thirst anymore.

“But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
John 4:14 (NKJV)

Do you also know that His name, Jesus, is the name above all other names?

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.”
Philippians 2:9–10 (NKJV)

Instead of seeking stronger and more powerful entities, you can go straight to the top. Yes—even your spirit guides and gods bow down to that name.

Try Jesus. Ask Him to heal you
